- 1/3 cup prunes, chopped
- 1 tsp. ginger, grated
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 1 tbsp. flaxseed oil
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup rice milk
Put water, quinoa, nutmeg, and ginger in one small pot. Then, stir it and leave it to boil. Put it on low heat, put the lid on and simmer for 10 minutes. Add prunes and rice milk inside and put the lid back on. Make sure you leave it to simmer for 5 minutes and stir a tablespoon of flaxseed oil and serve.
Detox Drinks and Snacks (Between Meals)
You can eat this snack as much as you prefer. Just slice some cucumbers, celery, radishes and other vegetables. Then, add some olive oil, lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
Detox Drinks- Lemon, Pineapple, and Pomegranate
- 1 lemon
- ¾ cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice
- 3 cups water
Just mix all these ingredients together.
Detox Drink- Pineapple, Ginger, and Kale
Pineapple contains bromelain which aids in digestion. Ginger boosts the production of bile and kale cleanses kidneys.
- ½ cup pineapple chunks
- Ginger (1/4 inch)
- A bunch of kale
- ½ lemon, juiced
- ½ cup mint leaves
- 2 large cucumbers
Just juice all the ingredients and that is it!
Lunch- Fruit Smoothie
- ¼ cup frozen blueberries
- ¼ banana
- 1 tbsp. flaxseed or chia, ground
- ½ cup ice
- ½ cup plain, unsweetened almond milk
Blend all the ingredients until they all become smooth.
Blueberries have a flavonoid inside that boosts the immunity and improves the liver’s function. Flaxseeds are full of omega-3 acids and they nourish the brain.
Tiny seeds are full of fiber and they give the optimal bowel movement. Moreover, there is vitamin B6 in bananas which will cleanse the liver.
- 1 cabbage, shredded
- 8 cups water
- 2 tbsp. paprika
- 1 fennel bulb, chopped (fronds and stalks)
- 2 red onions, chopped
- 1 cup shitake mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp. caraway seeds
- 2 tsp. sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- ½ cup parsley, coarsely chopped
- 4 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp. fresh oregano, chopped
Take all the ingredients and add them in a large pot. Then, bring it to boil and simmer for an hour. Serve this with freshly chopped parsley on top.
The cabbage is useful for detoxifying the liver and kidneys. The garlic will help with the liver function and the stimulation of the gallbladder and the fennel stimulates the flow of the bile. Finally, the shitake mushrooms boost the liver enzymes.
Sauerkraut and apple slices are also great for a vegetable broth. Sauerkratu is a probiotic and it will aid in the work of the gastrointestinal tract. Also, the apples will improve the function of the kidneys and liver.
- Try to have the last meal of the day before 7 PM
